Draw y=x^{2} and y=-x graphs

               

For x< -1,-x< x^{2},        so we have y=-x graph.

For -1\leq x< 0,-x> x^{2}, so we keep y=x^{2} graph.

For 0\leq x,-x< x^{2},            so we keep y=-x graph.
