The lengths of the sides of a triangle are in the ratio 3 : 4 : 5

Let the lengths of the sides be a, b and c

Let a = 3x, b = 4x and c = 5x

Perimeter 24 m

so,    a+b+c = 24m

i.e.,  3x+4x+5x=24m

x=2m

a=6m, b=8m and c=10m

observe that a, b and c are paythagores triplet

102=82+62 

definitely, a, b and c are the length of right angle triangle and c being the hypotenuse

Area of triangle = 1/2(8)(6) = 24m2
