Let AB be the stick and AC be its shadow.

Let DE be the tree and DF be its shadow.

\\\therefore \quad \frac{A B}{D E}=\frac{A C}{D F} \Rightarrow \frac{5}{12.5}=\frac{3}{x} \\ \\\Rightarrow \quad x=\left(\frac{12.5 \times 3}{5}\right)=7.5
