Suppose we are required to fi nd one rational number between two rational numbers x and y such that x < y.

Then, \frac{1}{2}(x+y)is a rational number lying between x and y.

One rational number between \frac{2}{3} and \frac{5}{3} is \frac{1}{2}(\frac{2}{3}+\frac{5}{3})=\frac{7}{6}

\\\frac{5}{6}=0.8\bar3\\\frac{2}{3}=0.666...\\\frac{5}{3}=1.666..\\\Rightarrow \frac{2}{3}<\frac{5}{6}<\frac{5}{3}

Correct option is (c)
