Perfectly Elastic Collision -

e=1

- wherein

e\: :\: coefficient \: of\: restitution

 

 

 

e =1= \frac{v_2 -v_1 }{u_1 - u_2 } = \frac{1.6 v -v'}{v-0 }

v' =0.6 v

m_A*v=m_A*v'+m_B*1.6*v

m_A*v=m_A*0.6*v+m_B*1.6*v

0.4*m_A*v =m_B*1.6*v

\frac{m_A }{m_B } = 4
