We know that, Resistance R=\rho \frac{l}{A}
i.e. R \propto \ell
Since, the length becomes half, \ell^{\prime}=\frac{\ell}{2}

\therefore \mathrm{R}^{\prime}=\frac{\mathrm{R}}{2}

Q=\frac{V^2}{R} t \text {. When } R \text { is halved, then } Q \text { is doubled }
