we know that, \mathrm{p=I \times V}

\mathrm{I =\frac{\rho}{V}=\frac{15 \times 10^3}{240} }

\mathrm{I =62.5 \mathrm{~A} }       ------------(1)

\mathrm{\text { Loss }=i^2 R =(62.5)^2 \times 0.5 }

                        \mathrm{ =2 \times 10^3 \mathrm{w}=2 \mathrm{~kW} }

Power produced  \mathrm{ =(15+2) \mathrm{kw}=17 \mathrm{~kW}}

Efficiency  \mathrm{ =\frac{P_{\text {out }}}{P_{\text {in }}} \times 100 }

\mathrm{ =\frac{15}{17} \times 100=89 \% }

Hence option 2 is correct.
