Male sex organ in earthworm -


Earthworm contains two pairs of testis in 10th and 11th segment, surrounded by testes sac. Testes sacs are connected to seminal vesicles (2 pairs) in 11th and 12th segment maturation of sperms takes place in seminal vesicle.

From each testis sac, vas deferences carries the sperm up to 18th segment where they join the prosthatic duct from prostate gland. Accessory glands are present on the neutral surface of 17th and 19th segments which opens through genital papillae (male reproductive organs).
