The work done in the irreversible process is:

W = -P(V_2-V_1)

V_1 = 1L =10^{-3}m^{3}

V_2 = 10L =10^{-2}m^{3}

P = 2\times10^5 Pa

\textup{T = 300K}

Putting all the values we get,

\\\mathrm{W = -2\times 10^5 \left (10^{-2} -10^{-3} \right )}\\ \mathrm{W = -1800 J = -1.8 kJ}
