Q.41) An unpolarized light beam travelling in air is incident on a medium of refractive index 1.73 at Brewster's angle. Then-

A) transmitted light is completely polarized with angle of refraction close to $30^{\circ}$

B)  reflected light is completely pularized and the angle of reflection is close to $60^{\circ}$

C) reflected light is partially polarived and the angle of reflection is close to $30^{\circ}$

D) both reflected and transmitted light are perfectly polarized with angles of reflection and refraction close $t p 60^{\circ}$ and $30^{\circ}$, respectively.

Q.41) At Brewster's angle $\theta_B$ :

$$
\tan \theta_B=n \Rightarrow \theta_B=\tan ^{-1}(1.73) \approx 60^{\circ}
$$
At this angle:
- Reflected light is completely polarized
- Angle of reflection $=\theta_B=60^{\circ}$
- Angle of refraction $=90^{\circ}-\theta_B=30^{\circ}$
- Transmitted light is partially polarized, not fully
