Potassium Function -

Activates many enzymes associated with K^+/Na^+ pump in active transport , opening and closing of stomata, cell's turgidity.

Turgidity is essential in plant cells to make them keep standing upright. Plant cells that lose much water have less turgor pressure, and tend to become flaccid. Potassium helps in maintaining turgidity of cells.
