\mathrm{For \: \: K-series, b=1}

\mathrm{\therefore \quad v=R c(Z-1)^2\left(\frac{1}{n_1^2}-\frac{1}{n_2^2}\right) }

Substituting the values,

\mathrm{ 4.2 \times 10^{18}=\left(1.1 \times 10^7\right) 3 \times 10^8(Z-1)^2\left(\frac{1}{1}-\frac{1}{4}\right) }

\mathrm{ \therefore \quad(Z-1)^2=1697 }
