As we have already studied in Messelson and Stahl’s Experiment 

E.coli fully labelled with N15 is allowed to grow in N14 medium. The two strands of DNA molecule of the first generation bacteria have different density but resemble parent DNA. This has been proved by Messelson and Stahl's experiment by using radio-isotopes N14 and N15 which confirmed the semi-conservative nature of DNA replication in E.coli. Hence, the correct option is (b).
