Floral formula represents the structure of a flower by using numbers, letters and various symbols, presenting substantial information about the flower in a compact form. In the floral formula, Br stands for bracteate K stands for calyx , C for corolla, P for perianth, A for androecium and G for Gynoecium, for superior ovary and
for inferior ovary,??for male,??for female, ? for bisexual plants, ⊕ for actinomorphic and for zygomorphic nature of flower. Floral formulae are one of the two ways of describing flower structure developed during the 19th century, the other being floral diagrams.
