As we learnt in 

Pollen Grains -

The reduced male gametophytes which develop from microspores and are highly reduced and confined to only a limited number of cells .

In Pinus, winged pollen grains are present. It is extended outer exine on two lateral sides to form the wings of pollen. It is the characteristic feature, only in Pinus.

This is because Pinus performs anemophily i.e., pollination by wind.
