The resistance of an electric bulb can be assumed to be constant

We knoe that, Power, P=I^2R

or \log _e P=\log _e\left(I^2 R\right)

or \begin{aligned} \log _e P= & \log _e I^2+\log _e R \\ & {\left[A S \log _e m n=\log _e m+\log _e n\right] } \end{aligned}

or \log _e P=2 \log _e I+\log _e R 

So, \frac{\Delta P}{P}=\frac{2 \Delta I}{I}

\begin{aligned} & \Rightarrow \quad \frac{\Delta P}{P} \%=2\left(\frac{\Delta I}{I}\right) \% \\ & \Rightarrow \quad 5 \%=2\left(\frac{\Delta I}{I}\right) \% \end{aligned}

\frac{\Delta I}{I}=2.5 \%

Current drop=2.5% = \frac{5}{2}%
