Use, $\mathrm{P=\frac{V^{2}}{R}}$ because voltage & power is given

Here,voltage $\mathrm{v=15\: v}$ , Power $\mathrm{(P)=150 \: watt}$

Use, $\mathrm{R=\frac{V^{2}}{P}}$

$\mathrm{ \frac{2 \times R}{2+R}=\frac{(15)^2}{150} }$

$\mathrm{ \frac{2 R}{2+R}=\frac{225}{150}=\frac{15}{10} \Rightarrow \frac{3}{2} }$

$\mathrm{ \frac{2 R}{2+R}=\frac{3}{2} }$

$\mathrm{ 4R=6+3R }$

$\mathrm{ 4R-3R=6 }$

$\mathrm{R=6 \Omega}$

Hence option 2 is correct.
