The sequence of bases in mRNA is determined by the sequence of bases in the DNA template strand, but thymine (T) IS replaced by uracil (U).

So, the mRNA sequence for the given DNA sequence 5'-TATGCCAG-3' would be 3'-AUACGGUC-5'

Option 2 is the correct answer.
