For second order reaction 

\mathrm{K t=\frac{1}{[A]}-\frac{1}{ [A]_0}=\frac{x}{A_0\left[A_0-x \mid\right.}}

If \mathrm{x=40 \% \quad(a-x)=60 \% \quad a=100 \%}

\begin{aligned} 80 \times \text{k} & =\frac{40}{100(60)}=\frac{1}{150} \\ \text{k} & =\frac{1}{80 \times 150} \end{aligned}

When \mathrm{x=60 \%,(a-x)=40 \%}

\mathrm{k=\frac{1}{t} \times \frac{\omega x}{100(40)}=\frac{1}{t} \times \frac{60}{100 \times 40}}

\mathrm{t=\frac{1}{k} \times \frac{60}{100 \times 40}=\frac{150}{1} \times 80 \times \frac{60}{100 \times 40}}

\mathrm{t=\frac{15 \times 8 \times 6}{4}=180 \mathrm{~min} .}
