Current in the outer circuit, \mathrm{I=\frac{2 V-V}{2 R+R}=\frac{V}{3 R}}

Potential difference between A and B is

\mathrm{V_A-V+V+I R=V_B \Rightarrow V_B-V_A=I R+\left(\frac{V}{3 R}\right) R=\frac{V}{3} }
