As we have already discussed in Messelson and Stahl’s Experiment -

 

E.coli fully labelled with N15 is allowed to grow in N14 medium. The two strands of DNA molecule of the first generation bacteria have different density but resemble parental DNA. In 1958, Messelson and Stahl used N14  and N15 to confirm that the replication of DNA in E.coli is semi-conservative in nature. Hence, the correct option is (b).
