For hydrogen atoms,  \mathrm{E}=+13.6 \mathrm{eV}

\begin{aligned} & \therefore+13.6=4.2+\mathrm{eV}_0 \\ & \Rightarrow \mathrm{V}_0=\frac{(13.6-4.2) \mathrm{eV}}{\mathrm{e}}=9.4 \mathrm{V} \end{aligned}
