Work done in an adiabatic process

\mathrm{W=\frac{n R}{\gamma-1}\left(T_{i}-T_{f}\right)}

\mathrm{Here, W=6 R \mathrm{~J}, n=1 \mathrm{~mol}},
\mathrm{R=8.31 \mathrm{Jmol}^{-1} \mathrm{~K}^{-1}, \gamma=\frac{5}{3}, T_{i}=T \mathrm{~K}}

Substituting given values in Eq. (i), we get
\mathrm{ \therefore \quad 6 R=\frac{R}{\left(\frac{5}{3}-1\right)}\left(T-T_{f}\right)}
\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \quad 6 R=\frac{3 R}{2}\left(T-T_{f}\right)}
\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \quad T-T_{f}=4}

\mathrm{ \therefore \quad T_{f}=(T-4) \mathrm{K}}
