Current through circuit,

\mathrm{ I=\frac{P}{V}=\frac{100 \times 10^{-3}}{0.5}=0.2 \mathrm{~A} . }

Voltage drop across \mathrm{ R=1.5-0.5=1.0 \mathrm{~V} }

Hence, \mathrm{R=1 / 0.2=5 \Omega.}

Hence option 2 is correct.
