As we learned

Change in Volume -

\Delta V=V\gamma \Delta T

- wherein

\Delta V=V-V_{0}

V-V_{0}= Change in volume

\Delta T=T-T_{0}

T-T_{0}= Change in temperature

for rod =  \Delta l = 0.08=l_{0}\alpha \Delta T

\Rightarrow 0.08\times 10^{-1}cm=10\times \alpha\times 100

\Rightarrow \alpha =8\times 10^{-6}/^{\circ}C

\therefore r=24\times 10^{-6}/^{\circ}C

\Rightarrow V=V_{0}(1+r\Delta T)=1000(1+24\times 10^{-6 }\times100)

V=1000(1.0024)=1002.4 c.c
