Use, the wave number \mathrm{(v=1 / \lambda)} of the exciting line is - \mathrm{v=\frac{1}{2536 \times 10^{-8} \mathrm{~cm}^2}=39432 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1} }

and that of the Ramon line is -

\begin{aligned} &\mathrm{V_{\text {Roman }}=\frac{1}{2612 \times 10^{-8}} }\\ &\mathrm{V_{\text {Roman }}=38285 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}}\\ \end{aligned}

therefore, the roman shift is-

\begin{aligned} &\mathrm{\Delta v=39432 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}-38285 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1} }\\ &\mathrm{\Delta v=1147 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1} }\\ \end{aligned}
