Number of possible outcomes, n(S) = 52

Let E be the event that the card is an ace. There are 4 aces.

\therefore n(E) = 4

\therefore P(E) = \frac{n(E)}{n(S)}  = \frac{4}{52} = \frac{1}{13}

The required probability that the card is an ace is \frac{1}{13}.
