In the first case,

                   Work done is  :

                                                    W\ =\ F.s\ =\ Fs \cos \Theta

or                                                                           =\ mgs \cos \Theta

or                                                                           =\ 15\times 9.8\times2\times \cos 90^{\circ}

or                                                                           =\ 0

In the second case :  

                                               W\ =\ Fs \cos \Theta

or                                                     =\ mgs \cos 0^{\circ}

or                                                     =\ 15\times 9.8\times 2\ =\ 294\ J 

Thus work done in the second case is greater than the first case.
