Let point P = (2, 1) and Q = (– 5, 7).

Now,

\vec {PQ}=(-5-2)\hat i+(7-1)\hat j=-7\hat i +6\hat j

Hence scalar components are (-7,6) and the vector is -7\hat i +6\hat j.
