Commuting (interchanging) the order of numbers, in addition, does not change the sum.

Example

5+2=2+5

(A) x + y = y + x is the right answer

Commuting (interchanging) the order of numbers, in addition, does not change the sum.

Example

5+2=2+5

(A) x + y = y + x is the right answer

Commuting (interchanging) the order of numbers in multiplication does not change the product.

So 

(D) x × y = y × x is also the right answer

3 x 4= 4 x 3

The commutative property is not true for multiplication and division.
