Yes, a pit contains other organisms such as beetles, spiders and other types of earthworms. Moreover, it contains microscopic bacteria.  Some of the common characteristics are discussed below:

  • The Insects that are present are pan-crustacean hexapod which comes in insect invertebrates.
  • They make up the majority of the arthropod phylum. They have a chitinous exoskeleton, three parts to their bodies (head, thorax, and abdomen) three pairs of jointed legs, complex eyes, and one pair of antennae.
  • Some of them have open blood vessels while others are organised at the organ level of the system.
