Explain the basis of using RR and rr symbols to represent the genotype of plants of the parental generation.

Generally, the character is shown by the first letter of a particular trait, and a different case of the same letter is used to show the contrasting character. Conventionally, a capital letter depicts the dominant trait, and the lower case letter depicts the recessive trait.
