In Fig. 8.2 there are two snakes of the same size slithering on sand. Can you identify which of them would move faster and why?

These are two snakes and they are of the same size and slithering on the sand. Where a snake form loops in its body while slithering, so each loop of the snake gives it a forward push by pressing against the ground.

On the other side, the snake with a larger number of loops moves much faster than the snake with a lesser number of loops.

Hence, snake “A” will move much faster than snake “B”.
