P(A)=0.3  and P(B)=0.4

Given :  A and B be independent events

So, we have 

                       P(A\cap B)=P(A).P(B)

                        P(A\cap B)=0.3\times 0.4=0.12

   We have,    P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)

                    P(A\cup B)=0.3+0.4-0.12=0.58
