Natural fibres like cotton, wool are obtained from plants and animals. To acquire the raw materials, trees and plants have to be chopped off hence leading to deforestation. Whereas synthetic fibres like nylon, polyester are manufactured in laboratories using chemicals or petrochemicals. Hence manufacturing fibres is actually helping the conservation of forests.
