Here length becomes half and area becomes double of the initial, 

Hence R= ρ l /a = 6 ohm 

R' = ρ (L/2) / 2A

Hence, R' =3/2 ohm 

(b) No. of resistors is, 3

Total resistance of this combination is 3\; \Omega
