Two dice are thrown.

Total no. of pairs is 36.

Even pairs are (2,2), (2,4),(2,6),(4,2),(4,4),(4,6),(6,2),(6,4),(6,6)

Total no. of even pairs =9

(i) \text{P(even pairs)}= \frac{9}{36}=\frac{1}{4}

(ii) Favourable outcomes are (3,6),(4,5),(6,3),(5,4) i.e 4

\text{P(getting sum 9)}= \frac{4}{36}=\frac{1}{9}
