best_answer

The three types of verbs are:

  1. Transitive verb – these verbs require an object to complete its meaning.

For example – He wants water. ( water is the object needed by the verb want to complete its meaning)

  1. Intransitive verb – these verbs don’t need an object to complete their meaning as they have a complete meaning by themselves.

For example- He danced. (Dance doesn’t need an object to complete its meaning)

  1. Incomplete verbs – verbs like is, are appear, seem, be, look etc. are incomplete verbs. They need complements to complete their meaning.

Example- He is intelligent. (The word intelligent is needed for is to complete the meaning of ‘the teacher is”)
