Factors that affect velocity of sound in air:-

Temperature:- On increasing temperature of the medium, the velocity of sound increases.

Density:- The velocity of sound in air varies inversely as the square root of its density. So if density increases, velocity decreases.

Humidity:- Humidity is the percentage of water vapour present in air. As the humidity increases, the percentage of water vapour in air increases and this decreases the density of air resulting in the increase of velocity of sound. So, an increase in the humidity of air increases the velocity of sound in air.

Wind:- Air in motion is called wind. So depending on the direction of wind the velocity of sound would either increase or decrease.
