$ Assume the point on the x-axis is (x,0),which is at a distance of 5 units from the point A(5,-3) $ \\ ATQ \\\\ \sqrt{(x-5)^2 + (0+3)^2} = 5\\ (x-5)^2 + 9 = 25\\ (x-5)^2 = 16\\ x = 5 \pm 4 \\ x = 9 \or \ \ x = 1

Hence the required points are (9,0)  and (1,0) .
