Character Sketch of Lencho
Lencho is a very poor farmer who lives on the crest of low hill in the valley. He is poor as he is dependent on the rain for his harvest. He is the only one in his family who works in field to produce some crops. Thus, he is the only working and earning member of the family. Saddened by no rainfall he finally wrote a letter to God. This shows he was a firm believer of God and a religious person who has firm devotion in the fact that God exists. He even addressed the letter with the initials God written on it bevause he doesn't know the address of God. He thinks that the God lives in the same world in which we live and someone at the post will know the address of the God. This shows that he was a bit foolish also.
He asked for some money from God. He was sure that in these tough times, only God will help him. Lencho was a complainer who didn't feel satisfied by what he achieve and get. He always wants more. Thus, he again wrote a letter to God complaining about the less amount of money, even though he has received some form of monetary help by the people at the post office. He was a suspicsus and skeptical person who doesn't trust other humans so he thought that someone at post office has stolen his money. So, he wrote a complain letter again to God.
