How do stomata open and close?

Opening and closing of stomata depend on various factors. Firstly, in most of the plants, stomata open during the day and closed during the night. Stomatal pores are mediated by changes in the turgor pressure of the two guard cells. It is also governed by an increase or decrease of solutes in the guard cells, which cause them to take up or lose water, respectively.
