If A and B are two events such that P(A) = 0·4, P(B) = 0·3 and P(A \cup B) = 0.6, then find P(B' \cap A).

Given:

P(A) = 0·4, P(B) = 0·3

P(A \cup B) = 0.6

\\P(A \cap B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A \cup B) \\ P(A \cap B) =0.4+0.3-0.6 = 0.1

\\ P\left(B^{\prime} \cap A\right)=P(A)-P(A \cap B) \\ P\left(B^{\prime} \cap A\right)=0.4 - 0.1 = 0.3
