If we stop pedalling a bicycle it comes to rest after sometime explain

Answers (1)

The pedal continues to move unless acted upon by an external force (inertia of motion). But there is a frictional force between road and tyre due to this the bicycle stops after sometime. If there were no air resistance and no friction to oppose the motion of the bicycle, then according to the first law of motion, the bicycle would go on moving forever.
