(a) When the incident ray is parallel to the principal axis and falls on a concave mirror: The incident ray is reflected through the principal focus (F) of the concave mirror.

 

(b) When the incident ray falls on a concave mirror while passing through its principal focus: The incident ray is reflected parallel to the principal axis.

 

(c) When the incident ray is oblique to the principal axis and falls on the pole of a convex mirror: The ray is reflected obeying the law of reflection, angle of incidence = angle of reflection, with respect to the pole.
