Below mentioned are some features of Alluvial soils: 

  • It is made up of sand, slit, and Clay. 
  • These are very fertile soils and hence are intensively cultivated and are densely populated. 
  • It contains potash, phosphoric acid, and lime and that is why ideal for growing  sugarcane, paddy, wheat, and other cereal and pulse crops
