When is the work done by the centripetal force zero? Give 4 examples

if the objects moves in uniform motion in a circular path, work done by centripetal force is always zero as the direction of force is always perpendicular to the direction of displacement.

In circular motion, the centripetal force is along the radius and the velocity and displacement is along the tangent. Hence their product will be zero.
Example:-

1. a ball moving in a circular path tied to a string

2. car moving in a circular track

3. movement of a bob of pendulum tied to a sting or thin rod

4. Movement of electron in an atom
