Subject: Describing my birthday celebration 

Dear James,

Hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. It has been a while since we met. I think the last time we met, we were at Sanjana’s house for her birthday.  I wanted to thank you for the present you sent me. It was such a thoughtful gift. I wanted oil paints and brush sets for the longest time. I know you could not come this time, but please, do come next time. 

My birthday went really well. At midnight, my parents bought a cake and I cut it. My parents gave me acrylic paints as a gift. You know how much I love art supplies. In the daytime, I went out with my friends to this cafe in my neighbourhood ‘Bling’. We had some delicious pasta and pizza along with milkshakes. In the evening, my uncle, aunt and cousins came with a cake so I cut the cake again. They got me canvas cloth. I think at this point, my whole family knows my obsession with painting. I was so glad to receive such precious gifts by such loving people. My mom cooked us some delicious food for the night. I immensely enjoyed my birthday. It was a great day. 

I again thank you for your thoughtful and precious gift. Do come to visit us whenever you come to Delhi. Me and my family miss you. Hope to see you soon. Give my regards to all.
