There are about hundred of languages spoken in India. Out of which 22 are considered as official languages of India which are even mentioned in the constitution. Hindi is the official (main) language of India. The rest of the languages mentioned in our constitution are Assamese, Maithili, Bodo, Urdu, Santhali, Oriya, Malayalam, Konkani, Gujarati, Bengali, Dogri, Sindhi, Marathi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Manipuri, Nepali, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telgu and Punjabi.
