On introducing mica sheet, fringe shift \mathrm{=\frac{\beta}{\lambda}(\mu-1) \mathrm{t}} where t is the thickness of sheet

\mathrm{ \therefore \quad \text { Fringe shift }=\frac{\beta}{\left(5000 \times 10^{-10}\right)} \times(1.5-1) \times\left(2 \times 10^{-6}\right)=2 \beta=2 \beta }
So, central bright maximum will shift 2 fringes upward.
